A Bright Future Together
I had a lady recently contact me about creating invitations for her upcoming wedding. The location of the wedding was at the beach, but she did not want it to be beach-themed or anything too cliche. Her wedding colors were hot pink and bright orange, and she wanted to incorporate those colors into the wedding invitations. She wanted something simple and fun. I created these four samples for her with her wedding colors. Pictured here are a single-layer, double-layer, and two triple-layer options. They each have a different personality, but all incorporate a bright summery feel. With a hot pink and bright orange backdrop, this bride-to-be and her groom are sure to have a bright future ahead! If you are interested in wedding invitations, but aren't exactly sure what you want, I would be happy to create several choices for you to choose from as well. As always, every detail can be completely customized to fit your personality and preferences.

"A Ladies' Luncheon" Invite
This invitation was created for a Ladies' Luncheon which was held to celebrate an amazing 80 years of life with close friends and female family members. A neat detail about this project was that the stamps on the envelopes were actually custom designed to match the invitation. The invitation is 4.5" x 6" triple-layer flat card built with cardstock, patterned paper, and vellum with a sheer ribbon. As noted on the invite, the attendees of the luncheon were asked to write a note or a memory on an enclosed note card and bring it to the luncheon in lieu of a gift. I was lucky enough to attend the celebration myself, and the memories that these ladies shared were so sweet and sincere. They have definitely had a wonderful life together and I'm sure they will continue celebrating each and every day in the years to come.
"All the days ordained for me were written in Your book, before one of them came to be." (Psalm 139: 16b, NIV)

My Wedding Day
I made the invitations for my wedding and loved how they turned out. They were the perfect first impression for our perfect day. I used a folded embossed card with a double layer of patterned paper and vellum on the inside, tied with a brown satin ribbon.
I also made the wedding programs...
...And one of our wedding favors, a packet of wildflower seeds to represent our growing love for each other. The back of the packet reads, "Plant these wildflower seeds in honor of our love. Watch your flowers bloom as our love grows!" It could be personalized just for you!
I loved adding these personal touches to my wedding day and would love to help you add your own touches to your special day as well!
A Birthday Celebration
These invitations were designed for an 80th birthday celebration with family and friends. The birthday girl's favorite color is yellow, and the celebration was a bright and cheery event. I added hints of yellow, deep pink, and green to other aspects of the celebration as well. The cupcakes were even designed by the specialty bakery to coordinate with the invitations. The invitations are 4.5" x 6" triple-layer flat cards: cardstock, patterned paper, and vellum, including a sheer ribbon. The collage below features pictures of cupcake accents, favor tags (that accompanied personalized m&m's), and a birthday card for the guest of honor.

"Stock their Pantry" Bridal Shower
Who wouldn't want to start their married life having all the things they need to make delicious meals together or for each other?
This invitation was a lot of fun to create. The border is compiled of pictures from actual items on the couple's bridal registries, plus some pantry staples. I wanted it to look like a "brown grocery bag" when it was received in the mail to immediately convey the theme of the shower. This invitation is a 5x7 double-layer flat card with ribbon. It also includes an accent on the envelope.
