A Bright Future Together

I had a lady recently contact me about creating invitations for her upcoming wedding.  The location of the wedding was at the beach, but she did not want it to be beach-themed or anything too cliche.  Her wedding colors were hot pink and bright orange, and she wanted to incorporate those colors into the wedding invitations.  She wanted something simple and fun.  I created these four samples for her with her wedding colors.  Pictured here are a single-layer, double-layer, and two triple-layer options. They each have a different personality, but all incorporate a bright summery feel.  With a hot pink and bright orange backdrop, this bride-to-be and her groom are sure to have a bright future ahead!  If you are interested in wedding invitations, but aren't exactly sure what you want, I would be happy to create several choices for you to choose from as well.  As always, every detail can be completely customized to fit your personality and preferences.

Personalized Post-it Notes

These personalized post-it notes are a perfect gift for a co-worker, secretary, teacher, friend, or anyone that needs to write notes and reminders from time to time. You may even need some for your office or home.  They are hand-stamped in the bottom right corner. I have photographed a few examples of available stamps, but availability is not limited to those pictured. If you would like an initial, several font styles are available. If you would like more than one design per pad, the designs will be stamped in an alternating pattern.
Personalized Post-It notes make perfect gifts!

Take Note...

These cute dry-erase boards make the perfect place for taking notes or writing reminders. They come in 4x6 and 5x7 (my favorite size) and are personalized with a variety of patterned paper, ribbons, and tags. They can be completely customized and I can include an initial or small decoration on the accent tag.  How many people can you think of right now that would love one of these, yourself included?

Valentine Treats

I realize that it is nowhere near Valentine's day at this point in the year.  However, I ran across these photos on my computer and had to share them with you.  These Valentine's Day treats were a Pinterest-inspired project that I just had to re-create myself.  My mother-in-law purchased the small plastic shovels from an online vendor in red and white.  I included red heart-shaped gummy candies and attached an accent tag that reads "I dig you!" before placing them in a clear cellophane bag.  If you love this project as much as I do and want to create these for everyone you love in your life this upcoming Valentine's Day, remember that I can do the accent tags for you!

The other picture in the collage below is a short and sweet valentine that my little family sent out.  The initials represent us...a for Andrew, j for JoAnn, b for Browning (the pup).  It is a flat card stamped with red ink.  The back is blank for a short message.  These cards are a simple way to tell your family and friends how much they mean to you.

Photo Note Cards

Along with my love for crafting, I also love photography.  My favorite is taking photos in nature...flowers, farms, fields, birds, bees, butterflies, etc.  When you combine these two passions, you get handmade photo greeting and note cards.  I have created quite an assorted collection.  This collection includes a variety of messages hand-stamped on the inside of the cards.  Some have short sentiments, such as "Happy Birthday", "Thanks", or "Hello".  Others have scriptures, and many are simply blank for you to create your own personal message.  A stack of these cards are great to have on hand for any occasion.  The cards themselves can even be given as gifts to friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, or teachers.  They can be purchased individually for $1.25 each (includes envelope), or a group of 5 for $5 (includes envelopes).  They are 4.25" x 5.5" folded.  All photographs are taken by yours truly.

Card for a Baby Shower

This sweet card was made for the upcoming arrival of a precious baby boy.  I needed a card to accompany a group gift for the baby shower.  I left the inside blank so that there would be plenty of room for myself and my coworkers to write a few words each for the mother and baby. This type of theme could also be used for baby shower invitations, baby announcements, or thank you notes.

"A Ladies' Luncheon" Invite

This invitation was created for a Ladies' Luncheon which was held to celebrate an amazing 80 years of life with close friends and female family members.  A neat detail about this project was that the stamps on the envelopes were actually custom designed to match the invitation.  The invitation is 4.5" x 6" triple-layer flat card built with cardstock, patterned paper, and vellum with a sheer ribbon.  As noted on the invite, the attendees of the luncheon were asked to write a note or a memory on an enclosed note card and bring it to the luncheon in lieu of a gift.  I was lucky enough to attend the celebration myself, and the memories that these ladies shared were so sweet and sincere.  They have definitely had a wonderful life together and I'm sure they will continue celebrating each and every day in the years to come.
"All the days ordained for me were written in Your book, before one of them came to be."  (Psalm 139: 16b, NIV)

My Wedding Day

I made the invitations for my wedding and loved how they turned out. They were the perfect first impression for our perfect day. I used a folded embossed card with a double layer of patterned paper and vellum on the inside, tied with a brown satin ribbon.

I also made the wedding programs...

...And one of our wedding favors, a packet of wildflower seeds to represent our growing love for each other.  The back of the packet reads, "Plant these wildflower seeds in honor of our love.  Watch your flowers bloom as our love grows!"  It could be personalized just for you!

I loved adding these personal touches to my wedding day and would love to help you add your own touches to your special day as well!

A Birthday Celebration

These invitations were designed for an 80th birthday celebration with family and friends.  The birthday girl's favorite color is yellow, and the celebration was a bright and cheery event.  I added hints of yellow, deep pink, and green to other aspects of the celebration as well.  The cupcakes were even designed by the specialty bakery to coordinate with the invitations.  The invitations are 4.5" x 6" triple-layer flat cards:  cardstock, patterned paper, and vellum, including a sheer ribbon. The collage below features pictures of cupcake accents, favor tags (that accompanied personalized m&m's), and a birthday card for the guest of honor.

"Stock their Pantry" Bridal Shower

Who wouldn't want to start their married life having all the things they need to make delicious meals together or for each other?

This invitation was a lot of fun to create. The border is compiled of pictures from actual items on the couple's bridal registries, plus some pantry staples. I wanted it to look like a "brown grocery bag" when it was received in the mail to immediately convey the theme of the shower. This invitation is a 5x7 double-layer flat card with ribbon. It also includes an accent on the envelope.

Home Sweet Home

"Houses are built with bricks and beams. Homes are filled with love and dreams."
It has been just a few days over a year since we moved into our new home.  Our home is the first house that we have purchased, since we rented a house for our first two years of marriage.  We were blessed with the ability to buy such a perfect home for us.  Once all the boxes were unpacked and we were settled in, I created these "new address" cards to mail to our closest family and friends.  It is printed on a 4x6 card with a decorative paper and ribbon header.
